Benthic Genomics licenses Angler Imputation™ software for Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) for integration into a leading genomics solution provider’s platform
Palo Alto, CA — September 21, 2026 — Benthic Genomics, Inc. (“Benthic Genomics”) today announced that it has licensed Angler Imputation software for Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) for integration into a leading genomics solution provider’s platform.
Angler Imputation imputes Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) genotypes from array data at three-field (six-digit) resolution and beyond across diverse populations. It covers 45 key immune genes including the classical HLA (HLA-A, -B, -C, -DQA1, -DQB1, -DPA1, -DPB1, and -DRB1345) as well as other key genes (MICA, MICB, TAP1, TAP2) and reports calls against public databases, with per-allele confidence scores.
“The HLA system drives outcomes in some of the most pressing areas of medicine today. Transplantation outcomes, autoimmune disease, drug hypersensitivity, and immunotherapy response are all shaped by a fundamental function of the immune system: the HLA-mediated recognition of self and non-self. Our mission at Benthic Genomics is to provide researchers and clinicians with the data they need to advance human health, and we are excited to make our technology—and the insights it provides—more widely accessible,” said Solomon Endlich, PhD, CEO of Benthic Genomics.
